NOTICE OF THE CLOSURE OF U95201 MIDDLE COMMON, BOCKLETON, WORCESTERSHIRE (“THE HIGHWAY”)

 

Reason for restriction: Burst water main. There is a likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road.  There is a need to close the highway in the following terms:-

 

  1. The effect of this Notice is that no vehicle shall proceed along that part of the highway from its junction with U95203 School Lane to its junction with C2088 Bockleton Road.

 

  1. This provision shall continue in force for a maximum of 21 days; however, it is anticipated that it will remain in force for 3 days (24hrs) commencing 19 June 2024.

 

  1. Alternative routes: U95203 School Lane, C2088 Bockleton Road and vice versa.

 

Nothing in this Notice shall prevent at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the highway, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only from the highway.

(Footpath SB-589, Stoke Bliss) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that the Order made by Worcestershire County Council on 18 January 2024 the effect of which is to close Footpath SB-589, Stoke Bliss for its entire length which was due to expire on 28 June 2024 has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for the Department Transport until the works to which it relates have been completed or until 28 December 2024 whichever is sooner.  Any further extension will require the approval of the Secretary of State.

The Order has been made as a result of an unsafe bridge.

Alternative route:  Northerly along KY-566, south-westerly on KY-567 in Kyre parish, then south-westerly on SB-596, south-easterly on SB-587 in Stoke Bliss and vice versa.
